Serving up Support: Morecrofts’ Inaugural Christmas Padel Tournament Raises £3,000 for Charity

Our first-ever Christmas Padel Tournament was a smashing success, bringing together 27 regional businesses for a day of competitive action, networking, and festive fun.

Held at ‘We Are Padel’, Derby, the tournament saw 32 teams battling it out for glory, with three trophies up for grabs. The event was followed by some much-needed post-tournament hospitality at Seven Restaurant & Café Bar, where particpants celebrated the day’s achievements.

Highlights of the day included:

• 27 Regional Businesses – competing, networking, and enjoying the festive spirit
• 3 Trophies – awarded to the top teams, including the Champions League and Europa League titles
• £3,000 Raised for Charity – benefiting the Derby County Community Trust and local homeless shelters and food banks

The Champions League Trophy was claimed by Innes England, Derby, who triumphed over our team in a thrilling final. The Europa League Trophy went to CS Security, following an exciting win against Dains Accountants. The wooden spoon holders… well, they’ll remain anonymous for their own peace of mind!

We are very proud to have hosted such a successful inaugural event, combining sport, community, and charity. We all look forward to making the Christmas Padel Tournament an annual tradition.
